South West of Pretoria is a grass farm. From there Tony Gibson operates a PPG (Powered Para Glider) flying school. You buy a motor and a parachute from him and he will teach you to fly it... They normally fly when there is very little or no wind - so late afternoons and early mornings are the times that you can find them there. The 'wings' are very colourful, and in the setting sun provides excellent photo opportunities. I love to go there to exercise and develop my shooting skills. On 4 June 2006 they had a Boogie with SA CAB - lots of gliders in the air, but shooting hampered a bit by smoke from grass fires - but when the sun was setting, it coloured the setting sun very, very red.
