The Kogelberg Biosphere encompasses the mountainous area surrounding Kleinmond and Bettie's Bay, as well as the rather narrow coastal plain. It is situated on the Southern Indian Ocean coast approxiamately 100kms south east of Cape Town. The small Coastal Reserve between Kleinmond and the Palmiet estuary contains the rich and varied Fynbos* Flora - and it is an ever changing seasonal diorama.

*Fynbos - Varied, mixed, colourful shrub like flora of the Cape Peninsula and surrounding areas.
