Gino Capponi (Florence, 13 september 1792 - Florence, 3 February 1876) was a politician, writer and Italian historian.
Last exponent of the ancient and illustrious family fiorentina of the Capponi, was a moderated reformer of from Tuscany state, through loads with senator.
It travelled very in Italy and Europe and was in from Tuscany Senate from 1848. It collaborated and promoted the main liberal initiatives of moderates to you. September of the same year was Prime Minister from 17 August to the 12.
Forced to withdraw itself to private life from the opposition and the restoration of the Lorena, it cultivated still more its historical studies, although in old age it became blind person. In 1859 he was supporter of the annexation of the Tuscany to the Piemonte and came name senator from 1860, actively participating to the life parliamentarian until 1864.
It is buried in the basilica of Croce Saint.
