Before the lighthouse during centuries this boulder ( moved here by the ice ) has been used
as a sea-mark. In Hakan Hakanssonīs saga, which contains accounts of the Kingīs wars in Halland in 1256, Glumsten is mentioned several times as landing-place and starting point for raids in search of plunder both to the south and to the north.
Today birders stay behind the stone in shelter from the storm watching sea-birds from the North Atlantic blowing in.
