This Grave-Field on Hornåsen, which is one of the largest and most noteworthy in Västmanland, contains 200 graves, most of them round stone settings. Besides, there are 1 square and 2 boat-shaped stone settings, 7 cairns, 1 barrow, 1 triangular grave and 1 upright stone. Some of the greaves were excavated in the 1920s yielding finds datable to the Migration Period (400-550 A.D.).
The grave field spans over a longer period from Bronze Age (1500-500 B.C.) and to Iron Age (500 B.C.. - 1050 A.D.).
The grave-field is situated on a centre on the important ridgeway över the lake Mälaren and shows that people have lived here for a very long time.
