VÄSTERÅS BILDER.

City Landscape Sweden.
Västerås ( means Western river mouth ). Västerås is a medieval Swedish city and situated by the lake Mälaren in Mid-Sweden some 100 km west of Stockholm. Around 150 000 inhabitants.
During the Middle Ages Västerås became one of Swedens´s most important cities! A founding period when the cathedral was the centre for the spiritual life and the financial core was trade dominated by iron products shipped over lake Mälaren from the Bergslagen mining districts. For me Västerås is the city were I graduated from Västerås Högre Allmänna Läroverk in 1966.
