"Deep focus is a photographic and cinematographic technique using a large depth of field.
In deep focus the foreground, middle-ground and background are all in focus.
This can be achieved through use of the hyperfocal distance of the camera lens".
Its a challenge to Leica photographers who love their fast lenses and creamy bokeh to try something different to stop down and shoot deep.
This is a challenge to make us think about composition and layering.
Where all planes in the photograph are in focus and there is a sense of space.
This style of photography lends itself to wide focal lengths and narrow apertures but this is not essential.
If this challenge were a painting it would probably be Dutch and from the 17th century, if it were a film it would by Gregg Toland !
