Streets of Paris

Although I had no way to measure, I would guess that we walked 50 to 60 miles during our 8 days in Paris. We would often use the Metro to get to our primary destination and then walk to our next sight. After dinner, we usually walked the lighted streets along with an endless stream of locals and visitors. You can often distinguish locals from visitors by the pace of their stride. The streets of the city represent Paris to the locals with its many shop, stores, cafes, and restaurants. Parisians give little attention to all the grand buildings, museums, churches, and statues that draw the tourist. Off the beaten path, the streets offer a glimpse of Parisian life within the city. These pictures are presented in order through our 8 day visit.
