Sierra La Sal Mountains

We spend one day driving up to the La Sal Mountains to enjoy fall colors of the aspens and to do a 10-mile hike to Geyser Pass between Mount Mellenthin and Haystack Mountain. The colder temperatures in the mountains above the surrounding reddish sandstone landscape reflected the changing seasons and coming of fall and winter.
