We found our hotel through the web. It’s a family owned place with 36 rooms run primarily by Julie and her husband. When not working, they live in an apartment 2 minutes away. Our place was clean, simple, nicely decorated, and only one block from the Metro station. They offer a 6.50e breakfast (where ate daily) and provide excellent friendly service. Rue Monge is a busy street during the day and the traffic can be quite loud with the balcony doors open. However, it is great for getting out and walking the Latin Quarter district with its many shops, stores, bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. We highly recommend this place. One evening before heading out for dinner, we witnessed a protest march from our third level room. Julie said it had something to do with illegal immigration.
