These photos are of birding in South Texas during the first 2 weeks of April, 2010. On April 1 we boarded the Skimmer in Fulton Harbor for a fabulous tour of Aransas Bay with Capt. Tommy Moore. That afternoon we birded around Corpus Christi with guide Jon McIntrye. The next day we drove south down Rte 77 to San Miguelito Ranch and then on to South Padre Island, Laguna Atacosta NWR and the Rio Grande Valley. Highlights of the Rio Grande Valley were Hugh Ramsey Park in Harlingen, Frontera Audobon Sanctuary and Estero Llano Grande St Park in Weslaco, Falcon St Park, Bentsen-Rio Grande St Park, El Rio RV Park, Santa Ana NWR and Willie's BBQ in Alamo, Texas. We finished our birding trip at Neal's Lodges in Concan where guide Bob Rasa helped us find Golden-cheeked Warbler and Black-capped Vireo.
