This great Gothic cathedral was built in the 14th century. It was actually supposed to be part of a much larger building but in 1348 the Black Death decimated the town's population and the plans were never carried out. Michangelo created some of the sculptures inside; the Graffiti floors and Biblioteca Piccolomini are fabulous.
