Seine

The famous River Seine is every bit as lovely as people say it is. It's a very relaxing place to sit on the river bank and watch the tour boats (and a few ducks) float by. Most of the river is edged by stone walkways that provide a nice place to escape the noise of traffic and enjoy the beauty of the river. Several decorative bridges in different styles span the river. The river splits around the two main islands, providing points where you can sit and watch the water on both sides.

You can take a hour long cruise up and down the river almost any time. We took a cruise at 10PM, after the sun had set and the buildings and monuments were lit up.
