Ile aux Cygnes

A stroll along the picturesque walkway which spans the length of this island in the Seine is well worth going out of your way for. At one end of the island stands the Statue de la Liberte, a 35 foot tall replica of the full size Statue of Liberty that was given to the United States (which this statue faces towards). At the other end is Pont de Bir Hakeim, where you can get a good view of the Eiffel Tower. In between is a sight that looks to be straight out of a photograph. Yet despite the name of the island, which translates as "Island with the Swans", we didn't actually see any swans there (or at least I thought those were Pigeons).
