This 2 star hotel is where we stayed for our entire visit in Paris. It was located in the northern section of the city (in the 9th arrondissement). Although it was located just around the corner from the red light district, the area felt very safe even late at night. The hotel itself was inexpensive, and while it was showing it's age, it was undergoing rennovation during our stay. In fact, on day three, we were even surprised to come home to a brand new bed. The rooms were small, and the bathrooms tiny (the shower was approximately 2.5 foot x 2.5 foot), but it was more than adequate for our stay. After all, we went to Paris to see the city, not sit in our room. The hotel served a breakfast of croissants and baguettes with jelly, corn flakes, milk, coffee, and orange juice. Nothing elaborate, but it was tasty enough (and it was more than what a lot of hotels offered for free from what I saw).
Very Nice Hotel:This hotel was apparently renovated. We stayed at the Hotel Migny during our trip to Paris in July of 2007. Everything about the hotel was to our liking. The room for 2 was comfortable and quiet, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the location and a safe neighborhood. It's very close to two Metros: Pigalle and Saint Georges.I recommand It!
