Industrial Zone
Within this complex is a room that has at its centre two stone monoliths in the shape of mortars. It is believed that craftsmen lived and had their workshops in the area and a large amount of clay was also found there - hence, the Industrial Zone caption. The clay was used in the production of both normal, day-to-day ceramics as well as fine ceremonial pieces.
Another theory behind the mortars is that they could have been filled with water and, acting as a mirror, used to watch the stars at night.
