Dave and I along with Jennifer's family of 6 went on a weekend get-away right after Thanksgiving, staying in a Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO) house in Boerne, TX. We stopped for several hours on the way Friday, first at Pedernales Falls State Park, (in the countryside near Johnson City, TX,) then stopped to see the Pedernales Electric Coop Christmas light display in Johnson City, all before getting to our VRBO later that evening. Saturday we drove to Fredericksburg to walk through the Country Peddler Show, then window-shopped in downtown Fredericksburg before heading back to Boerne. After dinner Dave and I took the three older grandkids to the Christmas Street Fair in downtown Boerne. Sunday we hung around the VRBO before checking out, letting the kids run around the huge back yard. The only negative to the whole weekend was Saturday night Jennifer & Jeremy's SUV started sounding horrible. It was decided that we needed to have it towed back to our city. Since their family of 6 had driven there in it, and we only had our car that holds 5 total, we enlisted our son, Chris, to drive his car over to Boerne so he could help transport some of their family home. Because I took a lot of pictures of each of the main things related to our weekend away, I arranged them in sub-galleries for easier viewing.
