Dave and I have enjoyed heading to Fredericksburg, TX each year sometime over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Our typical trip's reasons include: seeing the fall colors in the Texas Hill Country, going thru the Country Peddler Show at the Gillespie Fairgrounds (walking thru three livestock buildings that are full of booths' of various crafts & wares), walking up and down the Fredericksburg's mainstreet, and then heading back thru Johnson City to see the Pedernales Electric Company's headquarters all lit up with over a million little white Christmas lights after dark. This year we spent the night in Johnson City and the next day we drove out and hiked down near the river at two different areas within the Pedernales Falls State Park. The weather was 110% PERFECT! I won't apologize for how MANY pictures I took, because I just don't have scenery like this where we live at and like I said, we only do this trip usually once a year.
