Dave and I started an annual tradition 3 years ago. Each year, the day after Thanksgiving we go for an all-day date, driving to Fredericksburg, TX to see the "Country Peddler Show". This is a large craft fair held in 3 livestock buildings at the County Fairgrounds. Afterwards we head to downtown Fredericksburg for some window-shopping and people-watching, then to Lisa's favorite seafood buffet restaurant there and then as we head home we go the few blocks out of our way to see the Pedernales Electric Coop's magnificent Christmas light display around their 1-full-block-headquarters area in Johnson City. Our drive is about 2-1/2 hours each way but this year, Dave wanted to show me more of the Texas "Hill Country" and Fall colors so we drove West to Lago Vista, Marble Falls and then South to Johnson City. The day had absolutely gorgeous weather and such beautiful Fall colors but the pictures didn't do what we saw justice in real life. Here's a glimpse of our day. By the way, this WAS our favorite date of the whole year!
