Mouse Creek Falls was my FAVORITE scenery on this trip, very similar to what we saw GSMNP but this hike was actually in the Cherokee National Forest, which is located just south of GSMNP. I have no idea how I got some of these photos; they are SO beautiful you'd think they are paintings, but I promise they aren't and I did NO type of editing to ANY of this vacation's photos. This hike was 2.0 miles each way, up a gradual incline the going up but everything around us was so beautiful I didn't care. In all, we took our time and it took 2.5 hours round-trip and my knee hurt really bad the rest of that day and the following day, even on medicine. The falls themselves were skimpy-looking and we sat on a couple of small boulders just off the trail, looking across a small gorge at the falls on the other side, enjoying a picnic snack before heading back down.
