A close-up. The border yarn is a different type, with a softer feel. The ribbon could be exchanged for a blue one, changing the gender of the blanket's use.

This blanket didn't turn out too well so I have since removed 1/2 of the darker pink (wide) border and will create a 2nd yellow "bubble" row to replace 1/2 of the wide dark pink.
