This is a well-known 96-mile/3-hour driving loop that goes thru a handful of provincial parks all clustered next to each other. We started out on it South of Canmore, looping down and around and connecting back to Trans-Canada Hwy 1 about a good ways East of Canmore. It was light rainy weather until mid-afternoon, causing a lot of the wildlife to stay in the forests alongside the road. Several of the lakes I'd planned to stop at for photos we didn't, because the inclement weather took the beauty I was expecting away.
