I never knew anything about these type plates until this tour and found it very interesting. Another "collection" they have and add to whenever they find new pieces but I didn't think to get a picture of, is their "stolen silverware collection". They look for specific silverware being sold at antique stores, thrift stores and swap meets, looking for pieces that have the original establishment's name engraved on the handle. It was really neat during our sit-down brunch, (each person had a total of 4 pieces of silverware at their place setting), for us to take turns saying where our pieces had originally come from, before the original thieves had gotten rid of them and later "John & Sue" had bought them from that location. Of the 16 total pieces at the table, no two were from the same original establishment.
