I've now walked up a very-STEEP hill that winds and curves, which is why I couldn't get a shot showing it. However, at the next intersection along the ridgeline I'm walking on, in this picture you can barely see the very light-blue of the lake that was where I'd started at, down at the actual lake's elevation.
