The front of our hotel (with our Senior Pastor in the photo). |
The front of the church that hosted us. This photo was taken after the upper trim was repainted. |

Me in the kitchen of that church's "educational building", which housed a huge kitchen, several Sunday School classrooms and a large gym. |
Dave was in charge of the team re-painting the trim on the church (right across the street from where I was) so he made frequent trips to check in and say hi to me. He was a great "Cook's Helper" when he had the time, helping me stir this or that, take out the trash, wipe counters, etc. |
The main group that dealt with the "Kid's Camp" (VBS), as well as the kids who showed up that day. |

Although Little Alyssa was too young for our classes, she tagged along with her brother, Alex. |

Rec time again on a different day, playing "Duck, Duck, Goose". |
Kid's Camp is over for the day and it's our own "Rec" time as the finishing touches are made to our evening's meal. I don't remember what this game was called but you try and beat out whoever's behind you shooting baskets. It was the favorite game played each night by the majority of our group. |
Dave chasing his ball after it went in. |
After dinner we would "circle-round" and hear a devotional, sing Praise songs and then end our day with a prayer for all that was accomplished that day before heading back to our hotel. |

Everyone massed up, listening to instructions before fanning out in different directions to pass out free hygiene kits to those less fortunate than ourselves. |
A recipient of a kit. Each kit had (new, sample size) soap, shampoo, toothbrush/paste, a washcloth, a new (Giddeon) New Testament Bible printed in Spanish and a bright-colored card that had the testimony of one of our group members, also translated in Spanish. (This photo shows a bright green card). |
Another recipient. |
Three groups meeting from 3 different directions. |
Chris giving a kit to another person. |
A family that received two kits. |
Our Youth Minister (Matt) with two of our Youth. |
Chris, NOT wanting his picture taken but Mom didn't give him any choice. Thanks for smiling, Chris! :) |
Two cute sisters(?) that visited with us near the vans. |
This girl is reading outloud to our group what the testimony card inside her kit said. The testimony was the gentleman's who is watching her read it. After she had finished it, one of our Youth let her "play" his Ukelelei (sp?) while we all sang "Jesus Loves Me". |
Waiting for the rest of our group to return to the vans so we could head in a different direction. |
