Cedar Rapids Trip

I recently went to Cedar Rapids, IA and various nearby cities in Iowa and Illinois to meet and get to know relatives on my Dad's side of the family that I'd never met; uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. I spent 9 days in that area, seeing all sorts of things that had to do with my "roots". Here's some photos of my trip.

One of the older dorm buildings on campus. Luman said he used to go to a specific room on the 3rd floor for meals which (prepared by the female students) as part of his room & board tuition. Back then it served as what colleges today call cafeterias.

As we were walking around the campus we came across, (amazingly to me), a different steel drum band practicing. Before my trip, I'd never even heard of a steel drum band and within just a few days, got to see 2 different college ones performing.
