Just the "original 5 Bogan's"

Our most current photo of the "5 Main Bogan's", taken the day that Jennifer, her husband and children were leaving our city to move to Kansas. Our church's choir had just done a patriotic cantata for July 4th. 4 of the 5 of us (all wearing white tops) are in the choir. I'm going to miss hearing Jennifer's voice and her standing next to me in choir.

Okay, this one has more than "5 Main Bogans" but there was a good reason for it. At any rate, it had at least the 5 Main Bogans.

Jennifer at 8-1/2 months pregnant with Ryan. This was taken one of the 4 times that she & Scott went to the hospital, thinking that it was "time", only to be sent home.

Trying to get Jennifer to have the same "natural smile" as when there's not a camera in front of her face is next to impossible. However, I made 2 attempts at doing so, neither showed her normal face's expression which is even more beautiful.

She was perturbed with her Mom who wouldn't leave her alone about getting her to smile "normal". I don't care, I still think she's beautiful, even without her normal everyday smile.

Chris came to my office one afternoon, to interview a few of my actuary-type co-workers, trying to get an idea of what that field might be like to work in since math has always seemed pretty easy to him. He dressed up for the occasion and Dad and I treated him to lunch beforehand.

Alex had a post-season baseball tournament in Georgetown, TX the same weekend that Chris had a post-season soccer tournament (also in Georgetown, TX). During the 3rd game, Alex was the starting pitcher (he usually plays catcher). These first 2 shots are of him warming up pitching.

About an 8-lb. catfish that Alex caught when he went fishing with his friend, Chastain & Dad. This is the biggest fish that Alex has ever caught!

Alex holding the 2 feet of his first wild turkey that he shot. He went on an overnight turkey hunting trip with his Outdoor Recreation Coach from school. His Coach took some great shots of Alex and the (whole) turkey but I haven't yet scanned them into my computer. It was a large bird, though.

Check out the lower portion of his jeans...that's from him carrying the turkey while attached to a pole, across his shoulders as he climbed up the mountain-type terrain...the turkey was "bleeding out" as it was being hauled up to the ridge where they had parked. Boy I'm glad I don't do his laundry!!!

He's in 6th grade.

Alex was baptized, to show a public display of his confession and belief in Jesus. This picture was taken while our pastor was asking him questions related to that decision.

This photo was taken when the two of them were looking out into the audience to see those family & friends stand that were there in support of Alex that day.

After the questions came the "dunking". This photo was just as he came up out of the water.

Dave got out of his truck, turned around and heard "click"...no, he wasn't posing.

Okay, a little strange so it HAD to go on pbase. Dave was out in the back yard, playing with his hose again. Actually, he was trying to un-coil a brand new "grey water line" to straighten it out. Took this shot thru the kitchen window because I thought it looked funny.

Too bad I couldn't get the glare from the window from being in the photo.

This is one of my kid's FAVORITE pictures of me so I decided to take picture(s) of it and include in this gallery. It was "before kids", when I was about 28 years old and I'm 53 now.

This is the most recent photo taken of me, as I enjoyed a wonderful meal with a great friend of ours from California. We've been gone almost 7 years so meeting her for dinner one evening while she happened to be in Texas was a treat for sore eyes for me!

This is me at my desk at work, as the Receptionist for an actuarial consulting firm of about 50 employees in Austin, TX.

Another picture from behind to better show the size of my desk. It's a great work environment. You caught me on a Friday when I typically "dress down" a bit.

This is the view I see when sitting behind my desk. Outside my office doors is a bank of 4 elevators; 2 on each side.
