This is our second Sunflower Relay and Iron "Double" in beautiful Twisp, WA. We started at 4:15 am and made our way backwards on the course (21.5+ miles) to the start of the official race. Then we joined the other runners from the start back to the finish. And guess what? We didn't even finish last! It was quite chilly at the start, and there was a gorgeous moon which faded as the sun rose over the horizon. The cloudless sky sparkled blue in contrast to the brilliant yellow sunflower fields. The temperature warmed up nicely and we finished another "double" feeling very good. It was the Perfect Training Run!
