I am finally 12-weeks out from ankle ligament reconstruction surgery. I ran a 5-mile race last weekend and am still feeling the ankle. This past week, I rested it, and I decided to head West after work Friday to volunteer for the always fabulous Chuckanut 50k. Many of my friends were running it, and Steely and I road-tripped to Bellingham to cheer for them and take vicarious pleasure in the ultrarunning scene. I took only a few pictures and few of those are even half-way decent. Sorry. I must've had an unsteady hand because they were consistently blurry. But even yet, there are a couple good ones. Congratulations to all runners and finishers! Thank you all who helped out to make the 2006 race as good as ever! RD Krissy's mom is a phenomenal volunteer, one of the most hard-working I've seen.
