For 10 years I had lived in Saskatchewan and heard of ghost town remnants of disintegrated rural communities. We are witnessing depopulation of the countryside as industrialized farming of ever larger parcels of land is taken over by fewer and fewer operators. How could I capture the feeling of a ghost town? How could I find one? Lucky for me, some photography friends discovered one right under our noses, an hour from Saskatoon, and invited me along on their photo exploration of the ghost town of Bents, Sasktchewan.
