Summit of Borestone Mountain

Elliottsville Plantation, Maine

Revisiting the archives again...this was taken at the summit of Borestone Mountain, but too much rock underfoot took away from the ponds, so I cropped a little out from the lower edge of the photo. The three ponds below are Sunrise (not visible), Mid-day, and Sunset Ponds and above the talus pile is Peregrine Cliff, beyond are the mountains of western Maine and part of the Appalachian Trail. I really like the many layers of depth in this photo.

Nice scene, when viewed in original makes me a tad scared, I'm scared of heights. ;)
