This was my main "pre-digital" camera. I've taken this thing everywhere. It's been to Israel,
it's been to Italy, It's been to parts unknown in the U.S. Nothing beats a K-1000!
Nice shot---the colors in the lens are cool. I can't believe how good it still looks! My first SLR was a Honeywell Pentax H1a, bought in 1965, which looked very much like this. It had no internal light meter, but I bought the clip-on meter that sat atop the prism and interlocked (via a pin) with the shutter speed dial. It served me well until I upgraded to a Nikkormat in 1972.
Looks to be in good shape. I still have mine. Even drove over it once, by accident. Still works fine but has a small light leak that I have to compensate for.
