Fallbrook Iron Pour

I was happy to be able to attend the Historic Fallbrook Iron Pour after reading about it in the San Diego Union-Tribune. Many artists provided molds to be filled with molten iron during the pour. The furnace built to melt the iron was called a cupola. The event took place at the Artworks of Fallbrook, Fallbrook CA, November 5, 2005.

Very interesting, and different, gallery! I love these, and know how tricky it must have been to get the exposure right. But then again, you're a pro, so maybe it wasn't that tricky after all :)

Well documented. I couldn't help wondering if the gallery, as a whole, would look stronger if you hid the captions.

I was very glad to get the chance to visit this gallery. The men of my husband's family worked in a foundry most of their lives. I can see now why my husband was glad to escape. It makes great viewing, and probably the visit itself was great fun. But to toil every day in hell? It looks like brutally hard work.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us through your gallery.
