I wonder if someday I will look back on this and say, wow that was my
first orchid. Or if I'll look back and say sure was pretty until I killed it,
like all my plants. :( ok let's hope for the first.

I got this orchid for Mother's Day and am researching how to take care of it.
Help appreciated! Now it does have drainage but I heard the roots need air
and I don't see how it's going to get much like this (small pot inside rocks
and I see drain holes on the bottom).

Not as pretty but I wonder if I should pull it up where the rocks can be
drainage on the bottom and I get actually water in the sink and put the pot
back on top with moss over it.. I'll be checking with local orchid growers.
