GREEN MONKEYS

Ancestors of these African monkeys came to the Island of Barbados several hundred years ago on slave ships, and established a breeding colony. They were photographed in the Barbados Wildlife Reserve in a mahogany forest, where they are protected. The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is a project of the Barbados Primate Research Center.
