Shots taken with the "original" Canon 75-300 (made around 1991 according to Pbase). It's like current "consumer-level" Canon 75-300 III but it's all metal--and some way optically better. Bought it shortly after getting my camera back and deciding I needed more "reach" than the 80-200mm provided. I only paid like $75 for it. It worked pretty great--as of Aug 2005, I was trying to get it back again but the few I found were selling for about twice what I had paid for this one.
58mm filter, same as 18-55 EF-S
Almost all-metal construction
According to dpreview, introduced in 1991. (Wow, and I'm using this with a D-SLR?!!)
Needless to say, that's not my camera or lens shown.
