I typically get in an early morning Bradley Park dip (and landscape photos taking session) early in the AM, I had not yet done so. I did so this morning, and got trash bags.

We visited the ranger station, hoping they'd tip us off to a spot we'd not heard of, especially of the waterfall variety. (The wife was again feeling somewhat upset at us going to spots we'd been to before & she was looking up waterfall spots again.) The lady was nice but didn't help much, basically reiterated what I'd been saying myself. I was thinking maybe go to Glory Trail as we'd gone there in 2017 but did so when it was almost dark & hadn't really checked it out fully.

We ate (for the 3rd time?) at Sharon K's. Robertson's sounded like a good place as we'd not been there before. I mapped it there, and as Hasty was on the way we stopped there first. Wife spotted a hawk (or eagle) which appeared to be injured, I reported it to the wildlife service as nearby sunbathers seemed to be noticing me doing this. In the parking lot a lady asked if we knew where the blue hole was, I gladly helped her using my scanned book and my saved spots. Blue Hole was in fact only a bit out of the way going to Robertson's so we peeked at the entrance but didn't go for it, the path is kind of rough & I was pushing for Robertson's anyway so as to be going to something new. We also happened to run into Carver so I quickly grabbed some landscape shots there.

Robertson's basically saved this trip, as by this time my wife was starting to tire of the same-old same-old. She really liked the spot & in fact I did, especially because the water was very deep there and plenty roomy. I also got some good shots there, and the kids made friends with some people there with horses. It was a very remote spot (near Shine Eye but much more remote in its "feel") and in fact after eating Mexican in Marshall (updated the coordinates of the prior place ahead of time) when we found cabins in the area ( http://www.buffaloriverlogcabins.net/) we tentatively decided to make this our new spot for 2022 since this could "freshen" things up a bit & there are a few spots in the area, and those cabins were very roomy--I was excited thinking of how maybe Kevin and/or my mother could join us there in 2022.
