The Catedrala Mitropolitană din Timișoara is the Romanian Orthodox cathedral of the western Romanian city of Timișoara. It was designed by architect Ioan Traianescu, and built between 1936 and 1941 with 11 towers. The height of the central tower is 90.5 meters (297 feet), the tallest in Romania. The cathedral sits in the Parcul Central (Central Park) on the north bank of the Bega Canal.
