The small Romanian Orthodox church of the Annunciation is located a short distance northwest of the Piața Unirii, the main central square. The church dates from the early 17th century. Over the centuries it has undergone many transformations. The most prominent was the restoration of 1928. An Orthodox Synagogue, undergoing restoration, sits to the side in front of the front of the Church.
