Rosy maple moth (Dryocampa rubicunda), #7715

Larose Forest

Although these moths are relatively small (wingspan up to 55mm) they belong to the Giant Silkworm family, Saturniidae, along with the giants such as Cecropia, Luna and Polyphemus moths. Their colour ranges from a pale creamy yellow to intense rosy pink.
