Yesterday's Walk

Ottawa River trail

Unlike the Rideau River where blasting and the work of the amphibious excavator has broken up the ice, the Ottawa River is still mostly ice-covered. The ice is thinning and I wouldn't want to walk on it! Near the outflow from a water treatment plant there is open water.

That still looks like the depths of winter but perhaps for some promise in the sky. Beware thin ice!
