Seven-spotted ladybeetle (Coccinella septempunctata)

Reveler Conservation Area

This is not the lady beetle that many people see gathering in autumn around houses and sheds and barns, etc, seeking warmth. That one is the Asian Lady Beetle. However, both species are non-native but this one rarely, if ever, aggregates in large numbers as the other one does. However, in their native range of Europe and East Asia they may act differently.
