Tasha was a stunning dog, my first long-haired shepherd. I was dubious at first, thinking only the typical short-haired German Shepherds truly looked 'shepherdy'! Within a week I became a huge fan of the long-haired (coated) shepherds and after Tasha died, sought out another long-haired shepherd (Sasha). I dearly wanted another after Sasha died in 2021, but due to the run on pandemic pets, not a shepherd, long or short-haired, to be found at the dog rescues (and I only wanted rescues).
