Something special

Ottawa River

For the January Scavenger Hunt "something special". These two chairs, plus two other identical ones, were set out on a trail overlooking the frozen river. How they got there, or why, I have no idea! But it looked quite special in a way, to see these vivid red chairs in such a setting!

While I cannot imagine sitting there now in the cold, I can imagine warmer days and intimate conversation with a loved one or special friend. V

Adirondack chairs and water just go together.

What a wonderful thing for someone to do. Spring will come. Meanwhile, the red chairs make a very striking image against the white snow.

As long as you have some cushions and warn clothing, I think that would be a wonderful place to rest.

I guess in summer they would be more appreciated...at least they are visible in red.

A wonderful composition! Did you take a seat and enjoy the view?

A beautiful image with nice contrasting colours Christine. A snowman in each char next??

just the setup for a good chat by the river...what a sharing gesture...so Canadian too, as red Muskoka chairs (Adirondack to Americans) on white snow echo the country's flag..

They make a wonderful contrast with the snow. I imagine the view would be delightful in the summer. Perhaps they were used as props for a photo shoot?

I love the red in the white snow. What a wonderful thoughtful thing someone did. V

What a great find. They almost look like the ones Parks Canada puts out.

Quite an interesting scene, like I can't imagine who would want to sit out there in freezing weather! But still, well spotted and captured. V.
