Monarch butterfly chrysalis

Larose Forest

I think the monarch's chrysalis is exquisite. This one was hanging a little distance away from where the caterpillar had been feeding on milkweed.

Yes, aren't they exquisite, little works of art. I've 19 of them hanging on my shadehouse (close to the Balloonplant foodplants) at the moment - and one on a Balloonplant. The caterpillars clearly get about before pupating and like the shadehouse!
