Common redpoll, male

At home

When the big flock of redpolls descended on the feeders the other day, it took time to get a shot of the male, above. They left soon after I took the photos, but we may see more flocks yet as they move north, or maybe not.

Excellent shot of this pretty male Christine. We had a large flock some days ago too. they stayed only for a short while; however, the regular 6-8 are still around. .
