My first entry for this month is of Sasha last April. Although she had slowed down considerably, she was still keen on walks, we just didn't do very long ones. She loved to get out and sniff the new smells, especially in early spring after the snow had melted in some spots. Looking back, this makes me happy because I can see how she was still, at age 13, doing pretty well. Now, at 14, not so much. Still alert and happy but her arthritis makes it hard to walk much, and her Cushing's disease means that her lovely bushy tail has lost most of its hair, and her flanks ditto. So looking back on this I am very happy to see her enjoying herself.
