Mushrooms

Mer Bleue area

Possibly honey mushrooms (Armillaria). I love the way mushrooms pop up in the forest in the midst of moss, downed logs and other vegetation, creating a tableau.

they have such presence on multiple planes...a resemblance to pancakes enhances their appeal..
