Rosy maple moth (Dryocampa rubicunda), #7715

Larose Forest

This pretty moth is a member of the Giant Silkworm moths, but is a fraction of the size of the big ones. Their colour ranges from a pale yellow, to deeper yellow with a touch of pink, to the colour her, and further south, to a rich deep pink with only a touch of yellow.
