Red bartsia (Odontites vernus)

Larose Forest

A non-native species that was first noticed about 11 years ago along one of the forest roads in Larose. It has since spread much further down the same road, but haven't seen it in other parts of the forest, though it may well be there.

It’s such a pretty flowering plant - a shame it’s wandered into the wild. You’ve taken a beautiful photo of it.

What a beautiful plant, and a great capture of it. The softness of the background is just perfect. V.
